The story of ECOXGEAR began when Jim and Greg, friends working in a tech startup, were tired of the corporate grind. With the launch of smartphones by Apple and Samsung, they saw an opportunity to revolutionize how audio is listened to. Inspired by the outdoor adventures they enjoyed on the San Diego beaches and hiking the hills, they founded ECOXGEAR, The Original Waterproof Audio Company.

In 2007, ECOXGEAR launched its first IP67 waterproof and rugged speaker, and since then, the team has introduced dozens of speakers with cutting-edge features for all of life's adventures.
